Hi Chas! The replacement filters are from GE and are about $50.00 and are suggested to be replaced about every six months.

our water is very hard and had a water softener and an ro system installed when this house was built, with normal maintenance
changing filters every 6 months, adding salt when needed, have not had to change the membrane yet (22) years our city water is nasty tasting but id very hard, here in the house the water is good tasting, and we dont have water spots on the shower doors
