Samsung Family Hub Refrigerator
Samsung’s new Family Hub Refrigerator features a 21.5-inch screen with full tablet and television functionality improving on their first release in 2013. But what makes this fridge truly smart is it’s wi-fi enabled photo system that snaps a photo of the appliance’s contents with each use of the door. If you can’t remember if you have milk, just pull up your fridge history on your smart device and take a look.
Samsung Wi-Fi Oven
Samsung is bringing Wi-Fi to four new ovens this spring that can power your appliance while you’re out. It’s more than and “on/off” switch though. As long as the oven is connected online it can heat over 160 different preset dishes. Besides these presets, the oven will give you the weight and caloric content of your food.
Keurig Kold
Want an ice cold fountain-style Coca-Cola™ at home? The new Keurig Kold is just for you. An added bonus is that you can also craft chilly mojitos and margaritas from premium mixes with a push of a button. Tequila optional!
LG Signature Appliances
If a refrigerator that takes pictures isn’t high-end enough for you, the ultra-premium LG appliance line takes cool to the next level. The sleek fridge offers something from a sci-fi set: knock and the fridge door becomes transparent. Oh, and the door will open for you when it detects when your foot is nearby. (We knew we were on to something with this hands-free thing!)
Smarter Mat
Not all of the technology coming out of CES 2016 requires a major investment. The $100 Smarter Fridge Cam attaches to the interior of your fridge (either the front or back side) and takes a photo every time you open the door. Smarter also had their “Mat” on display which connects to Wi-Fi to help keep track of kitchen items. The rubbers mats (starting at $80 and offered in various sizes) can keep track of how much is left of an item without the need to transfer the contents out of it’s original container.
