Denise-Pink Postcard Headshot

How did you get your start as a blogger?
I started 3 years ago.  For a long time, I had been searching for a creative outlet, and a way to meet other creative souls. Family had encouraged me to start a webpage, but that seemed daunting.  When I discovered blogging – it all clicked.

Since I started, I have grown creatively, and had some awesome opportunities.  I was also able to start my own business of vintage home decor.  I’ve found a way to meld my love of painting, creativity, shopping, and home decor!  It’s been very rewarding.

What is your favorite Pfister faucet, and why did you choose it?
I love the Hanover 1-Handle Pull-Down faucet.  It’s got a great classic look, and I love the simple curves and timeless appeal. It has great versatility design wise, and a convenient nozzle that I prefer, for working in the kitchen. Classy!

What upcoming projects are you working on?
I always have furniture makeover going on due to the nature of my business!  As far as home projects, the next one will be our laundry room.  I’m planning a lighter, brighter, and more organized space, with touches of charm.

What’s your favorite home decor style?
I like a variety of styles, but my favorite is what I call West Coast Cottage.  Light, bright, laid back living.  Pops of color, and warm, wood tones mixed in to the light and bright.  A style that is welcoming and cozy.

What is your signature recipe?
With friends, it is Frogmore Stew.  It’s also known as Low Country Boil- a mix of corn, shrimp, potatoes, and spicy sausage, all boiled together in seasonings.  It’s our favorite summer party!  We serve it with a couple slabs of cornbread and some great beverages – very simple, no fuss, easy entertaining.  All the food gets spread out down the middle of the table, and we dig in.

Thanks to Denise for sharing her love of vintage furniture and home decor. You can follow Pink-Postcard on Facebook, Pinterest, and Snapwidget.

I love that 1-Handle Pull Down Kitchen Faucet! It is so gorgeous! I need to replace mines since it is probably on its last leg. That handle blends in so nicely with the kitchen. I’ve seen this type in magazines and different places and have always been in awe of the look. Just gorgeous!
