From May 14-16, the Pfister and Baldwin teams showcased at the Las Vegas Hospitality Design Exposition and Conference (HD Expo), the premier show for the hospitality industry. Attended by thousands of designers, architects, buyers and brands from a variety of disciplines, participants showcase and source products, collaborate with other industry professionals, attend conference sessions and network.
While promoting this season’s top collections the Pfister and Baldwin teams also fielded inquiries about the brands’ custom design capabilities. Adding a unique interactive twist, Pfister’s top industrial designers work on location sketching custom design concepts suggested by conference attendees in person and through social media. On opening day of the Expo, Pfister also launched our “Faucet Design Challenge” campaign, an open contest to win a $3,000 cash prize and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to collaborate with our experts.

Pfister’s social team attended the event and walk the floor with the designers searching for inspiration from the industry. From hardware to flooring, lighting to countertops, Lauren and Cameron from our Industrial Design team pointed out the hottest trends in hospitality design. Highlighting styles and elements consumers might experience at luxury hotels and resorts, the designers spotted opportunities to bring the high-end looks to a residential environment. Lauren shared, “I’m loving the ‘mix and match’ tile trend and subtle textured elements behind glass–they really combine a classic artisanal feeling with a modern fresh take. Mixed metals and wood paneling seem to be very popular as well. But, I think my favorite trend coming out of this show is the use of ombre panels and walls. They add color, depth and texture that feels very fresh and contemporary.”
